Line setup

Postby Newbie » Tue Mar 30, 2004 9:47 am

hello, I am a beginning kitesurfer, have a bit experience with bridles, but not with bars.
Is there a website/pdf-file/... where I can see the line-setup (Have a north bar, but all the safety-thingies make it a bit complicated...like where does the leash go, witch safety-pull first,...?)
Please, I d'like some info, because I am like the only kiter around here and can't ask a soul.
Cheers

Hi,

most kites will have an instruction manual and most of the manafacturers will have downloadable versions on their site, like:

http://www.airush.com/gallery/catalog/A ... _Lores.pdf

Apart from that you might get some info from:

http://www.kitesurfingschool.org/

Some people walkout their lines upwind from the kite. Some people downwind (remember if it's downwind your bar will be upside down). I don't think there is a good or bad way here, its just down to personal preference.

Allways remember though, check you lines over a couple of times, just to be sure.

Have fun,

Slinky.
