Early November is within the kite season, i know people are getting some sessions already right now but the normal cold fronts have not come in clean completely. The nice thing is if there is no wind there are tons of things to do, beautiful beaches, mayan ruins, scuba diving, bikini spotting, etc. If you find a cheap ticket go for it, make sure you rent a car to get around as the wind changes direction a lot.

Where in Europe to find the windiest places? Top 15 !

European Championships of the Wind

In a research from the German magazine "Kiteboarding" powered by windfinder.com, the windiest place on the European continent was crowned. The categories included "average wind speed in 2010" and "number of days with more than 4 Bft in 2010". 15 countries competed for the title to become the windiest place in Europe...

In the end, underdog "Dursey Head" in Ireland took the win with 274 days above 4 Bft and an average wind speed of 15 knots. The Dutch island "Vlieland" came into second place presenting 270 days with 4Bft+ winds leaving Germany's "Kiel-Lighthouse" with an average wind speed of 15 knots and "only" 259 days above 4Bft in third place.

Here is the complete ranking:

The first post is really appreciated for this topic. He shared enough information about Windy holiday destinations. I read it and looks very interesting for me. I will try to go there last month with my cousins and friends. I hope they will enjoy there a lot.

Hello.

Nicaragua is very good for kitesurf.

The windy season in the carribbean coast is from November to July.

But last sunday, 23.08.2015, I went kitesurfing, and with my 13.5 it was good.

In Bluefields there is a long beach, with nobody all the year.
