Im thinking of going to Capo Verde mid February for a week or so, looking for any information on wind conditions/temperature/good beaches etc. also anyone else heading that way and looking for a travelling partner...

Good winds

Hello!

Just returned from Sal. Stayed 2 weeks. First week cloudy, winds day and night 25+ knots!!!
Second week winds between 10 and 16 knots. So better bring small and large kites with you.

For kiting its better to go to Leme Bedje Point (offshore winds and if there´s a swell nice waves,
but gusty winds at starting point, which is quite narrow with rocks to both sides)
or you head with taxi to Sharks Bay (onshore wind, but quite consistent).
Of course there´s the large beach infront of Morabeza/Belorizonte Hotel,
but there the wind is quite gusty and the shorebreak can get sometimes really high.

Also bring a shorty with you, water isn´t that warm at this time of the year.
And if you like to bring your girlfriend with you, it´s better she´s also
into watersports, because there´s nothing else to do - especially if the
sun isn´t shining for a week

nah!! we found the best beach by far was the shark beach (east coast) clean perfect cross-onshore wind whereas the beach at leme bedje was gusty and unpredictable and cross offshore, especially since there is more buildings being buiilt its creating uneven wind speeds.
