Where to go in (early) April?

I'm searching a good spot with good wind conditions and flat or choppy water! Where to go? Egypt (Hurghada) is not that windy in this period if I look to windugru, or is this wrong? Tarifa maybe.. but it's very crowded I think.. I don't really care but I want to push my limits so I'd like some some room to learn new tricks. I'd like a spot close to or in Europe.. El Coche, Yague, Roques are perfect spots but too far for now (and no place left in the airplane too)

Thanks! :thumb:

Maybe the bay of Rosa in Spain. We have been there a few years ago in the summer and it was pretty good. Nice spot. Don't know how it is now because they are trying to forbid kiting there. temperature there is probably okay, although I guess you do need a wetsuit.

If you do want to go a little further and warmer, you should try Cabarete. The wind has been very good lately and it looks like this will continue! Flights from Brussels are not full yet and not that expensive either. Hooked gives a discount of 20% in the months april and may, so this saves a little also :D

If you need info, just send me an e-mail: info@hookedcabarete.com.

cheers,

Hello,

I thought the wind in Cabarette wasn't that good in this period. I have checked some stats and windforecasts. But it's too far anyway for just a week :)

Anyway, something came between so I can't go now  Anyway, I'll go in July then :thumb:

Thanks anyway!

July is great; every day between 20 - 24 knots, side -shore, super stable and temperature around 30 degrees celcius. April is not the best month, but still pretty good. Last months we have had about 5 out of 7 days very good wind (some weeks even more) and it definitely looks like this will continue. You only need a few sizes of kites, and than you can kite for sure a lot. But a week is short.

If you need accommodation for July, just let me know. Since July last year we have apartments here. If you want, you can see more info on our website http://www.hookedcabarete.com. You can also always send me an e-mail (info@hookedcabarete.com )for more information or if you have questions. Also about Cabarete, or anything else, no problem.
