One of the best kite spots in this area is Cozumel. You can ride all wind directions on both sides of the island. If you stay on the Yucatan you will only ride the NE trades (best March - May) and they are generally on shore. I have a condo in Cozumel and have been kiting there for 6 years. We fly 20M - 9M. You get the full range of winds. That time of year the "Nortes", north wind storms, can be consistent 12M - 9M for up to 3 days. My condo is available for rent. It overlooks the Country Club riding area. 50M from the beach. Let me know if you want more info. Later...Tom
