Corsica Kiteboarding

Postby SurfboY » Mon May 08, 2006 10:28 pm

Hello,

I'm going to Corsica in July and I was wondering how kiteboarding was there in that period. I know it's crowded, but anything else that is more positive? How's the wind? I'm in the North of Corsica and will go from spot to spot with the car.

All welcome!

Thanks! :thumb:

Do a search as there was a pretty good thread a while back (I think it was in the main forum) about Corsica.

My fiancee and I were there about 3 years ago (long before we started kiteboarding or even HEARD of kiteboarding) and had a fabulous time. We were there in June so it was empty, but one thing I heard lots of people mention (and can confirm) is that there are some very rocky beaches. And some beaches are completely rock-based, so it may be a little hard to launch/land, and if you crash, could be kinda bad.

But there were also plenty of nice smooth beaches too. Definitely do a search though because the thread was decent and had some good contact info for locals. (Include my name in the search because I posted some pics from our trip there)
