im going to tarifa from the 17th of septembre till the 27th, bringing my own stuff, but the only problem is, we dont have a car...are the beaches close enough to the town? or do i really have to rent a car, i dont think any of us has a driver licence...? if the beaches are too far away...how do i get there? by bus? can anyone help here? thanks! btw don't have a place to stay yet

A special zone for kiters is installed during the busiest summer months in order to keep kiters away from the busiest part of the beach (ie right next to the town center). In september you'll be fine, as the beach starts right next to the harbour and ends a few KMs north-west.

Any accomodation along the beach will be the best. Center of town is about 100m from the harbour.
