my brother is inviting me to come to maui during easter...I was very happy and stuff like that, but now friends tell me it is a windsurfer/surfer island only , they even claim it's forbidden to kitesurf there...the only moment you can kitesurf there is as a competitor of red bull king of the air??

I beleive he is simply referring to kiting access at Hookipa Beach Park and not to the whole Island.
