Kitesurfing south Italy and Sicily

Postby Surf Dude » Sat Apr 19, 2008 12:46 am

My wife and I will be traveling in south Italy (Puglia and Calabria) and Sicily from April 24th to May 7th.

Can any one recommend kitesurfing locations during that time?

Thanks

Pat

they work with N-NE or SE winds

Dear Alessandro

Thanks for the recommendations.

Do I need a full bodysuit this time of year?

Many thanks

dear Pat
i reccomend a full wetsuit or a streamer. the sea water is still cold (13-15 degree)
the air temperature is about 20-22 degree

enjoy

Aloha Pat,
it may be too late, but I just saw your post today, however if you see my reply, when you are in Sicily come and sail with us at Puzziteddu on the west coast. If you can take a look at our web site http://www.puzziteddu.it" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
hope to see you there,
Thomas

you can't go out from Calabria without kiting in Gizzeria Lido, west cost in tirrenian Sea.
The two spot that I reccomand are :
http://www.hangloosebeach.it" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (that's my favourite)
http://www.campingfabiano.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In summer there's always 15-2O knots of termic wind
