Where to go in April in Europe?Italy?

Hi,
looking for some place to kite in Europe between 10-20 of april.
Looking for cheap alternative. I am aware of lower temperatures.
So far I found only Italy - Lignano.
Any experiences?

Hi,

I would say Leucate in south of France is excellent, i spent a week there at the end of July in 2006, always seemed to be windy and the water was warm, small kites a necessity, not sure what the conditions are like in April though.

From travelling experiences im not sure if you could consider anywhere in Europe cheap really.

I heard Sardinia should have good winds at this time of the year!

And it has beautiful water as well!!!

i'm alessandro and i live in south west sardinia.
as Toby said, april is excellent.
air temprature between 20-25 ° (yesterday sunny and 24 °) and is very windy..in the last 2 year we had an average of 20 days with a wind speed >=4bft. (you can see the weather forecast stats on windguru)
the south west shore works both with northern and southern winds. so in few km everyday you can find the good spot.

ciao,

I learn kitesurf in lignano!
Lignano is not good for kitesurf! normally there is a light wind between 7 and 14 knots! so you can kite if you are lucky, maybe a good day every week.
Adriatic sea is just for light wind lovers!!!
