Brasil in september : where is better to kite

Hello! We need advice.
We are going to Brasil in September, but we are still hesitating where to stay :
Prea, Paracuru, Taiba or Cumbuco.
I prefer flat water like on Boracay, but my friend looking for waves like in MuiNe.
Where can we mix our interests?

Paracuru has flat on low tide, and nice waves.
Taiba nice lagoon with perfect flat water, good waves as well, also for surfing
Cumbuco has best lagoon, waves on the downwinder nice too.
Also Icarai and Pacheco close by with good waves.

If you want to mix some nightlife in, Cumbuco is the place to be.
From there you can do day trips to Taiba or Paracuru.
Also the other way around.

you also asked abou Prea - but got nothing on that....

Prea is famous for the evening downwinds at high tide to Jericoacoara. during low tide you find flat conditions in Barrinha which is in the same bay of Prea. In Jericoacoara behind the big dune you will find flat conditions as well as in Mangue Seco at high tide.
If you are realy looking for super flat you can go on further to Camocim and a place with nice waves closeby as well is Maceio.

Nightlife in Prea is remote - but Jeri is the place. Severall bars, 50+ restaurants and good shopping as well.

what about wind strenght in prea/jeri in september/october ?

usually we ride 7 and 9 meter kites all year.

september and october in particular we have steady 22 to 28 knots . Sometimes the wind can scratch the 30 knot mark. month with strongest wind is november. 24 to 30 knots depending on the day. you pick your size and don´t have to change it during the day - sometimes not even through your entire stay.

beach with the strongest wind is Camocim - you can add 2 knots to the above measures.

All of these locations north from Fortaleza are wonderful- as you can see! And each with its own personality.

There is also an incredibly beautiful place, not to be missed, called Uruau. It is south from Fortaleza, about 95km. It has everything you are looking for: Flat water in the lagoon, at high tide; Ocean riding with beautiful waves; The river mouth with great little ramps; Fantastic downwinders; Nearby lagoons that are enormous... And you can stay right on the beach!

The kite center there is magnificent, really. A great place to return to, after a day on the water: Beautiful garden, swimming pool, bar, restaurant, music, wireless. And, awesome people!
