Hi!
I just wonder what are the conditions in Israel for kiting in these months (wind rate, water temperature, etc).
Is it worth visiting in this period? If so - which place is the best?
Would appreciate your help

Hi Olga,
December - January is winter in Israel, meaning most of the windy days will be due to winter storms (low pressure). Depending on the system wind can be from 15 to over 30 knots. Usually we have such a system every 10 days or so. Wind is side on shore and the waves can reach 2-4m after 1-2 days.
In December we also get wind which comes from the deserts - this is full off-shore wind that can be very strong (20-40 knots) but you need rescue boat to kite in such a day (usually available only in the weekend). The off shore winds are in the area of Haifa
Another spot is Eilat in the red sea where you have north wind (side shore) with almost flat sea. Winter is not the best season in Eilat for kiting but still you can have few days with good wind (around 20 knots). (best season for Eilat is Aug till Oct and April to June).
