Hi there
We have been researching for a few days, but seem to be coming up short for a holiday destination.
Our budget is $1500 to $2000 CAD everything in. We would like to leave on the 15th of January and return the following weekend. We are traveling from South Western Ontario... Flying out of Toronto, Buffalo or Detroit.
We are looking for a warm destination which has flat shallow water. I am a first year kiter so BF 4 - 6 is optimum, or 15 - 25 knots.
We have so far considered
- Cuba Cayo Coca - reviews are mixed and I think we are looking for something a bit more off the beaten track
- Costa Rica Bahaia Solinis - Sounds like a great place but as a first year kiter 30+ knots is a bit much for me!
- Belize Caye Caulker - still researching this one but seems we might catch the tail end of the rainy season.
Any other suggestions or pros and cons for the places we are currently looking at?
Sincerely
Pete

Try Cozumel, Mexico.
This time of the year there is direct flights (charters) out of Toronto.
