Hi Guys/Girls - This is my first post.

At present I'm located in China and would like your help with the low down on the best spots for kite surfing here. I believe Taiwan has some good spots, as does Xiamen, Hong Kong and Hianan Island. The thing is I'm actually located in Yantai, Shandong. Qingdao was where the Olympics held the sailing events in 2008 but that's three hours by bus away. In addition I've also been told that Yantai should have better wind.

I know there are a two specific beaches that people are using at present in Yantai. However, what I really want to know is how good are they compared to the others in China.

I've been doing a little research but what I need is help from those who know.

The reason I ask is because I would like to offer international visitors the chance to combine Martial Arts Training with Kite Surfing, Culture Sites and also offer the chance in April for foke to visit the Weifang International Kite Festival.

As a complete novice with no idea about this I need some help and advice. I also have no idea what all you kiteboarders would think of such an adventure. Those with serious suggestions and prepared to help - I'm able to offer access to great kung fu masters, help and advice on jobs and traveling in China. As well as a spare room if you want to visit.

Hoping to hear for you guys/girls soon.

Kind Regards

I've looked in the kiteboarding in Yantai and got some information back. Unfortunately, Yantai's wind is not good enough. I will continue to keep looking for better destinations in China where I can combine martial arts and kiteboarding. :)
