Kitesurfing in Thailand in February

Postby frra » Mon Oct 18, 2010 7:25 pm

Hi,

We are planning to go to Thailand in February. Any recommendations on good kite spots. This is primarily a family vacation but I should be able to get out a few times a week

Hua Hin or Pranburi

www.kitebeaches.com

Hua Hin has many hotels and will host the Kitesurf Tour Asia stop in February, and PKRA worldcup in March

Hi! Is it a difficult spot. I usually travel w/my family and they are learning. The winds are side on shore? And is it a flat spot or waves?
Thanks.
Tio.

Hua Hin and Pranburi are easy spots. Hua Hin with shallow access and up to 1m wave at sandbar.
Pranburi has on lower tide nice lagoons with flat water along the coast.
On high tide go to the school from Will, about 1km upwind of the Evason Hotel.

All sideonshore. Easy, steady winds, at least in Feb and March from my experience.
