Kiting in Israel

I'm traveling to Israel in March and will be bringing my gear. We are staying in Ashqelon, Israel south of Tel Aviv. I'll be there for about 9 days. Are there any good spots to kite in or around Ashqelon? What's the wind like in Israel in March? What's the water temperature like during March (shorty or full suit needed)? Thanks in advance,

Adam

March is still winter in Israel - water temp. around 20 deg so you need full wet suit
Low pressure systems bring the wind in the winter and they occur on average once per 10 days. Usually the north part of Israel is better in the winter in terms of wind but there are many exceptaions.
This winter has been very bad, only few days of wind, so if stays like that there is good chance you will not be able to kite at all. Another alterntaive is Eilat in the red sea, around 2.5 drive from Ashklon.

me too going Feb 16-27 staying in Tel Aviv and Atlit
should I bother bringing gear? Considering going to Elat at least 2 days. If I bring an 11M kite harness and wetsuit any chance someone/club will rent me a surfboard or twin tip? Thanks
