We have been traveling a bit to see different spots around Mui Ne. This one is called Phan Rang and is approx. 4 hrs north of Mui Ne. Id say that does qualify as a good learning spot but be prepared for small kites.
That answered the question of this post,Vietnam is more like tropical kiteboard expedition with abundant of winds and undiscovered kite beaches. You just have to be there to discover it.
Only 45 minutes north from Mui Ne we discovered a beautiful kite spot right in between the mainland and a small island called Turtle Island (or also Lao Island).
A sandbar in between the island and the coast makes this a flatwater spot with some very sweet waves. So I strapped on the Gopro on my helmet and made this little video.
