Does it exist? Heard the water is generally choppy and wavey with lots of pro's carving around?
Any information???

Hi,
The water in Cabarete (Kite Beach and Bozo Beach) is not flat, but it is certainly not too rough as the outer reef takes the power out of the waves/ open sea. The water is 'choppy' inside the bay.
The only 'flat' water in the area is at La Boca- a 15 minute cab ride from Cabarete town. The water here is butter flat, as the wind blows cross off over a river mouth. However, it is unsuitable for beginners as the riding area is very small. Any more than 5 or 6 kites and it feels crowded.
I would say that Cabarete is a great place to learn as there are so many kite schools and the beach/ water etc is very safe. It's an amazing place.
Luke.
