Kiting in Iceland

Hi Gier,
I am going to be in Iceland Aug 3-13, staying with some icelandic friends of my family (near Rej). I want to surf and kite when I am there. Any info you can give me on type of wetsuit to bring, how windy it is (so I know which kites to bring), any contacts or friends that I could meet and kite/surf with when I am there?
I am a beginner kiter, just started going upwind....but plan to be a hell of a lot better buy Aug, since I will be living in OBX this summer. I can swim, wakeboard and snowboard like a champ...it is just a matter of a little more practice with the kite.
