Best Kiteboarding in the South Pacific?

Hey All,
I'm still researching possible honeymoon destinations for next September. I'm interested to know what people would call the best kiteboarding destinations in the South Pacific--and why they think so. I'll go ahead and say right now that New Cal is out for us. I just don't have that kind of cash and my French is awful. Anywhere else merit a good recommendation? We're planning on staying for two weeks. It'd be nice to be able to kite often but having a decent amount of options for other-than-kiting activities will probably be required as well, as my bride-to-be is just a beginner and isn't quite as hooked as I am. Pictures appreciated, too!
Thanks for any suggestions.
