hey looking at going to Progreso in Feb but can't find any good wind data.... everyone is talking great wind but windguru (yeah I know it can be wrong) says 65% at 13 knots for average??? What's a better site or is this right? I know La Ventana has more wind than windguru ever says, so maybe it's just wrong....
Anyone been to Progreso? Thanks

Hola,
Progreso is one of the windiest places in Mexico, you will love it. For sure you will find wind in February, you don't need to check windguru. I live in Playa del Carmen and I go often to Progreso. Here you can find info and the weather about progreso

Guys...
PROGRESO IS THE SHIT !!
Just beacuse is a fishermans town and is in the south of Mexico dont make much noise around the world, but is one of the best places in Mexico to live.
And talking about kite conditions jaja I can say is one of the best places in the hole world, Why?
You have got about 200 km of kiteable sandy beaches, is quiet sallow so you dont have problems to walk near the beach with your kite.
You have wind pretty much all the year around 18- 20 knots and main season from march to end of june around 25- 35 knots.
All this why?? no many people know the mains reason.
Is the only one Peninsula in the world who looks to the north !!!
welcome.
