Kite Size for Peru

Hi,
I'm heading down to Peru for most of November and part of December. I'm planning on riding mostly around the Mancora area. I'm 230 lbs and am an intermediate-advanced waverider. My options for kites are 7, 9, and 12. What do you think I should bring if I intend to mostly ride a surfboard. I could bring all three, but would prefer to bring two.
Also, I plan on a doing a long-term surfboard rental or buying one and selling it back when I leave. Will that work out?
