GoPro to iPad Air

Postby salvino » Thu Jan 08, 2015 5:49 pm

To connect gopro hero 3 black to iPad Air I plan on using micro card directly to lightening connector.
Any advice?

You might want to get an adapter instead as the micro card will not fit into the lighting port....

To clarify, I mean the apple connector for micro card to lightning. So basically the card gets read by iPad. Any input on personal experiences with this? Pitfalls?

Well I would certainly make sure the resolution you shoot in is compatible. I can remember doing this with the iPad 1 and it would not play the HD videos yet,
Also playing directly off the memory card can be choppy and slow, better to bring them onto the iPad Memory. I cannot say all this is ideal, it works good for storage if you have a large enough capacity iPad but playback is not great.

I read somewhere that those things ONLY allow photos or Apple approved video... but that's as far as I got. People were using them like the MicroUSB slots on android tablets but with an iOS updatem, apple shut that down. Can always take it back, I guess.
