good wavekite spots in the Caribbean?

Hi, I checked different sources and my understanding is that there are spots with good waves but mostly lighter winds like Barbados. And on the other hand windy places, but only small waves like Venezuela.

Or am I mistaken?
I know every spots can have super wave conditions every once and a while, but what about wind-wave-qualities like Western Australia or Mauritius?

I am traveling to the Caribbean in March/April and would love to fly my 8 meter kite in head-high waves every day. Am I out of my mind? Does the Caribbean have these kind of conditions?
Thanks guys in advance for any info!

Thanks for info.
Unfortunately travel partner has been to DR already and doesn't want to in again. Any further advice would be well appreciated!

Bahamas (out by surfer's paradise) has waves and wind, but not as consistent as Cabarete. It's pretty tough to beat Cabarete.

Puerto Rico is also an option.

Enjoy!
