I am looking to take my friends on a Kitesurfing Holliday in September or October,
I loved Viana do Castelo in Portugal does anyone know what it's like during these months?
Or does anyone know any other great spots in Europe during these months?
Thanks!

September in Viana is probably still ok, but october is pushing it a bit into the off season. You'll likely have at best a 50% chance of wind. If you and your friends surf, then it's ok because you have an alternative when it's not blowing. If not, I would advise to go further south to the Algarve or Tarifa.

The Algarve looks interesting, would you reccomend any particular spots?

I'm partial to Alvor. It's a great spot with flat water in the lagoon and good waves on the sea if the winds blow from ESE. In September there's still some tourists but the village is very tranquil. Great restaurants. It's best if you have a car, so you can be mobile and look for the best spots depending on conditions.
