Cape Town - season is just starting then and most people don't go until mid-December or even January but November time can be really good and uncrowded. Wind might not be quite as consistent but in two weeks you'll get a lot of great days.
Cape Verde could be good as the season is also just starting and also you would catch the end of the season in Mauritius. Don't know so much about those two but worth considering.
Also lookin for waves in nov.
Although prob a good option Cape town doesn't really interest me. Im lookin into cape verde at the moment.
Does anyone know if there are places to stay walking distance from wave spots? Or does it involve requiring transport there? Several islands to consider. any insight to the characteristics of each would b helpful. kite conditions and social aspect?
Think portugal will b a bit cold. Im travellin from uk so may as well stay home for cold water rather than spend money for a bit warmer portugal.
Love to go back to south brazil but its kind a long way and not so cheap.
What about east coast US? probably not much better weather than uk/portugal ?
Also lookin fwd to that kiteb&b site coming online to see if anything presents itself there.
Cape Hatteras can be really good and comfortable in November especially towards the beginning of the month. Can get some very big Northeasters so you will need everything from a 6m to 12m. Normally 9m in the Ocean. Day temps usually in the mid 60s (although can range quite a bit 50-70) and water about the same. Usually a 3/2 or 4/3 full suit without boots or gloves will be comfortable. I imagine that is similar to southern Portugal. Lodging is cheap and it is uncrowded. Gets a little busy Thanksgiving weekend at the end of the month. You would probably need to fly into Norfolk VA or Raleigh, NC and rent a car. It is pretty tough to get to Hatteras without a car, and It is the land of ocean downwinders, so really want a car.

Hi Rob -
Little known fact that average wind strength in Cape Town is higher in November than in January!
See wind stats (the key number is % probability >4bft.)
