Kitebeach has flater water. Bozo nice kicker wave.
If KB you need transportation to village. If Bozo then you can walk all.
Which transportation would be recommendable with kite equipment to go between spots?
Is it considered risky to be at the beach after dark or to walk around the city after dark?

I would store my gear at one spot, not go around with it.
Moto taxi is cheap, car taxi also available.
Until Bozo beach from village is ok, further than Tangerine Resort not advised to walk at night.

Eurowings fly from Cologne to Puerto Plata.
No problem kiting from Bozo to KB. Definitely more happening in the evening in the village than at KB. Easier to get in touch with other kiters living at KB though.

Thanks for answering all these questions Toby
You would advise storage at a kiteschool over just getting gear to the beach from the hotel, in case it is close?
The two hotels that the possible charters offer are Villa Taina at Bozo and Agualina at Kitebeach. They seem close enough to have gear at the hotel I would guess.
To go to Cabarete from Kitebeach would thus be easiest on Moto taxi?
Are those safe in regard to traffic or possible crime?

Merci Pierrot! Interesting destination for sure.
Right now I am considering Cape Town in February versus Cabarete in March.
Advantage with Cab being direct flights from Denmark, while CT might feel a little more exciting.
Any tips for staying in Blouberg? Should I store gear at the beach or rather find a hotel with a kite school on the beach?
How crowded does it get?
I understand that there is smooth water to be found between waves. Also that there have never been shark attacks in Blouberg, and that they are mostly on the other side of the cape, which is comforting.

cape town .....blouberg, I had kite vacation last 5 years in feb.
you could walk to the beach but many places and spot to visit so a car is a must ...ww polo about 15 euro a day ...gas 1 euro for liter . wind is strong or nothing usually....could be 2 or 3 days a week in feb.
if you like warm flat water do not go,the only place is langebaan lagoon ...couple of hour drive(4 hours back and forth). in big bay (blouberg area) you have to manage with waves....30 knots .....not a long time to sail between them
I never found middle conditions like 20 knots.....usually starts with 20 knots early in the morning but in 15 20 min it is 25 and so on up to very strong in the afternoon. I use 6 m in the morning ......if not very tired the 5 in the afternoon .75 kg.
not very confortable for ladies to stay on the beach when windy......cold.....and no swimming other days ..cold water.
no crime problem ......fake news......much more dangerous brasil or US cities.....of course it is not europe and an open eye on night walking is better.during the day absolute no problem everywhere...nice people around.
red bull king of air is a must......shark cage diving a must....table mountain visit a must...cape point a must....platboom ,witsand, haakgat a must ...do not go inside mainland (wine tour) 40 degrees and nothing to see....do not go north ,nothing except langebaan.
liking or not a vacation in cpt is a must for a kiter
ciao

Appreciate it
You didn't enjoy the wine? I guess that is what it is primarily about when sampling.
Did you kite in False Bay? Apparently that is where the major part of sharks are.
