Kite Hostels in Nordeste (Ceara), Brazil?

Postby DariKite » Fri Jul 27, 2018 3:28 am

This weekend I'm leaving to Nordeste (Ceara) in Brazil for 3 weeks. I am in the learning stages and would like to visit at least 5 different places where I can use my 9m and 12m kite. I weight 68kg and don't want to use smaller kites for now. I saw some videos of all the spots and it's just incredible all these paradise places that are there!!

I made a list of spots where I would like to go where the wind speed is not too strong for me (9m -12m kite). Do you know any hostels that are kite friendly and I could keep my kite equipment safe? For the following places:

ATINS & Lençóis Baleienses
BARRA GRANDE
TATAJUBA (Jericoacoara)
LAGOINHA, Paraipaba
TAIBA, Cumbuco
AGUAS BELAS
BARRA NOVA
URUAU
PARAJURU
CANOA QUEBRADA

Check out google, tons of options.

In Cumbuco Bada Hostel is a good choice.

It will be the Kite trip of your life...enjoy!

I´m checking Google and the typical like booking.com but for some spots no results come up for kite hostels. What I mean is that I want to narrow my search to hostels where I know I can leave my equipment safe and it´s close to the kite spots. Hostels that kiters recommend. Also, some kite hostels that come up in results have very expensive for my budget. I´ll check Bada Hostel. Thanks!

I am in Cumbuco and it’s great! Now we want to visit other places south of Fortaleza like Uruaru, Parajuru, Canoa Quebrada. How do I go there if I don’t have a car? Taxi is too expensive so I want to know if I can go by bus with my kite equipment or join kite groups that travelor what options do I have?

Rent a car. Like 80 Reais per Day. Cheapest way if you don't want to go with a bus...team up with some people

Be aware that for a light guy those kites are big for Brazil. At 100kg I had the same sizes, and I was there later in the year when the wind was lighter. Heading North the wind gets stronger, so I would suggest you focus on Cumbuco and South. No specific hostels sorry.
