I am leaving September 8 to 16 and still did not decided my destination Canada or NC with my RV. So i was thiniking to see what you guys think!
Already been once at Cap Hatteras NC. I heard very good things about Madalen Islands (
https://www.thekiteboarder.com/2017/06/ ... ds-canada/). I like the idea speaking french/food/island and kiteboarding
.
Anyone have been to this island? any thought NC or Canada!
Merci!

Oh wow. I haven't been but given the choice that time of year I would choose Magdalen for the adventure on its own. Add the world class kiteboarding spots and no crowds and I'd be in heaven.
I love OBX don't get me wrong but its more of a necessity in the spring... coming out of hibernation and all....

Magdalen Islands are beautiful but book your ferry crossing well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Have you considered the other Cape? Cape Cod that is. We have some of the best kiting on the east coast. We have wind somewhere almost every day. Beaches facing every wind direction, from wave spots to endless waist deep water..

Not so far from here (about 3 hours), but i heard they are limiting kiteboarder now (heard from some kiter at my location). I leave 20 min from Pine Point (Old Orchard Beach, Maine). When win is great, it is a very awsome place to kiteboarding!

Cape Cod: White sharks. They have closed some beaches recently. Mostly affects the ocean side, so far.

I was in Magdalen Islands last week, not my first time. It’s got a really special ambiance and some great kiting. Like someone else said make sure you reserve the ferry in advance as in september there is only one a day from Souris, of course if you did get delayed there are some good spots to ride in PEI too. Another option would be Lameque Island in NB , where I am now........ water is warm and wind is great

Noooooo.....Once labor day is over the beaches are wide open again, almost no restictions...The GWs for the most part are on the outer cape Atlantic side of National seashore...50,000 seals...yummy. No one really kites out there anyways, most kiting is on the Nantucket sound side, and Mass bay side. For East winds Buzzards bay...then there are numerous off Cape spots ...Plymouth, Horseneck and many more....
Watch the North American woo #s Mass area dominates for a reason....
I'M off to West Island today....great summer wind...should hit at least 20mph
