Conditions Gran Canaria?

Postby Janus » Fri Feb 23, 2007 3:12 pm

To GC-kiters:
How are the (kite) conditions at the moment at La Punta?
Full wetsuit or shorty (wetsuit) ? and what thickness?
I have to choose between full 5/3mm or shorty 3/2mm (without arms and legs) .. . (or should i visit a store/shop first..)
Will arrive 4/3 till 11/3, CU.
Thx
Arjan

i would say as you are from holland take the shorty. the italian guy might feel cold but come on. 20°C air, 20°C sea thats summer temperature where we live. i just checked wetheronline so it's no firsthandinformation. but i would go for the shorty

:D it is more that it can be quite chilly at the end of the day and you would then appreciate the full wetsuit :thumb:

Bumping this up again cause I think you all are not there at the moment.. ;-)
I appriciated the reply's, thx again.

Leaning towards the 3/2 shorty but when it is windy you want some more suit...

Hi Arjan
Full wetsuit is a better option, though is not really cold, water is around 16-18 degrees
See you there. CRIS
