Ouch!!!!!!!
Back out on the 9m today, stroking every now and then but powered most of the time. First run, start big, yeah throw a kite loop, oops over rotated, landed perpindicular to the direction of travel, OOOOOUUUCCCHHH slightly hyper extended previously hurt knee.
Stayed out for an hour did railey's, s-bends, back rolls front rools , gee my knee kinda hurts. go in, sit down, yep it does hurt, home, lots of ice still hurts.
Bummer.
Off the water for a little bit.
see ya later.

Snow- not water-
Got lofted from a stand still 3 seasons ago in Colorado. A rotor lifted me and tossed me around. Separated my pelvis and I still feel it. 6 months out of the sport but I made it back. 2 mistakes: very cloudy so wind could not be seen and I was alone- never kite by yourself. Had to hike 1/2 mile+ to car and drive to hospital for internal bleeding. Kite was lost but recovered 31 days later in a snow drift. Be careful no matter what meduim.

I'm with Munz, In the winter I seem to pull muscles, bruise, kite loops while jumping with a 4M foil are killer when you land face down on the snow. Abd muscles take a beating due to heavy snow on board.
I have never injured myself on the water.

probably had some minor concusions after falling from 10+ft doing/failing kiteloops in 1- foot of water. Never been tested for it though. Other than that, nothing more than the occasionaly hold on to dear life after screwing up a trick and accidently throwing a kiteloo

My ass (tailbone) still hurts at times from last winters riding. That and I have rung my bell a few times on the ice too, but thats why we wear helmets.
I crunched my ankle on a blown jump about 6 months ago. I launched big and came down too fast on a small kite. I just landed flat without my knees bent. I didn't break any bones, but its still stiff.
