Ho noooo, here we go with "The Golden Oldies".

"When I was young we where a bunch of wild kitesurfer, now you are just a bunch of whining chicks"... hooo please do not make my crying...

Anthonyd, where heve you been on the moon?!

You might not be aware that the whole kite design, production and market is completely changed within 2 years. The problems are simply not the same as before.

I remember 3 years ago we all have the problem of a spinning safety leash. This forum was full of projects, photos, ideas. Well, now the kite producers made up the 5th line, for example. They constantly look for innovative design for us (and to be more competitive) in a much much much more techincal way.
A normal user can not really afford now to solve the Bows inversion with some house-made technics, or a sbetter afety system to save our ass with some rope and and plastic piece we buy at the supermarket.

that's just one way that shows the sport has grown.

a little scene that happens in kiteshops all over the world nowadays:
customer:'i want that brandd xy 11m kite, do you have it?'
shop guy: 'sure, got one last kite here'
customer: 'great, wich color is it?'
shop guy: (checks color) 'it's blue/grey'
customer: 'nah, that's too dark. can you order a new one in red or yellow?'

in the old days, you didn't look at the color when you got your kite after three months of waiting.
and you didn't run back to the shop and complaint every time a seam becomes loose.

but a good kiteshop sells a couple of kites a day (during season) nowadays.

gota agree that the new kiter these days doesnt generaly know didly shit as everything is done for them, I mean even the lines are attached to the bars now so you can just buy, unravel and fly which is great but people winge about the smallest things like "oh, I dont like the colour" ect ect.
In the early days you knew how things worked and how to make things better, now its "my kite goes to the left all the time or I've got no depower or it does'nt turn". Its the same with motor bikes I've been biking for the last 18 years and know bikes inside out now the place is flooded with f$*KING born again people who ride a bike because they've got a fat wallet and know shit, notice how I dont call them bikers because there a bunch of $^*^*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So there you have it.
OH AND NICE TITS 8)
