Anybody have any info? I want to carry the board behind/outside my leg, flat along the side of the moto and maybe kicked up at a bit of an angle.
I know about the big floppy surfboard racks for bicycles, but I'm looking for something solid that can handle higher speeds. I'm thinking something that would bolt to the rear passenger peg, the frame and maybe the rear grab handle. This is for a Honda 919, btw.
I've seen some photos in mags, but don't have the mag handy.
Thanks.

If it works on a scooter, it works on a motorcycle...

Taiwan, island of 8 million scooters. A friend here used to carry his gear the same way mas-martin showed in the photo. However, he raised the board front about 20cm higher after an embarassing face plant in front of people at a busy traffic light stop; his foot just could not come out. He rides scooter with wetsuit as windbreaker and wears scooter helmet for kiting.

@mas-martin
Hey dude I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one!!! Actually we're not doing it anymore, but one sumemr we used to be 4 guys on 2 scooters he he not the most practical.
You should get one of those boardbags that can carry 2 boards and 2 kites with backpack straps... maybe for higher speeds it's not that good cause youl'll have a big part of it pickng up wind on your head... anyway I presume it's better that than having a board between your legs or whatever. + you'll have your hands free. I have some at the moment they are really huge, you can fit anything in them!!!! I managed 2 big boards, 2 kites 2 wetsuits harness

i've had a board rack on my klx 250 for 6 years now used to carry a surf ski on it but it'll fit two kite boards easy both in bags.
I made it myself out of flat 2" steel and covered it with pipe insulation.
It bolts across the rear rack that my bike has.
The boards then lay in a "U" at the front by the rear brake lever and in a slot at the rear next to the rear wheel so the boards are lying along side the bike but with enough room to fit your leg in.
If i can do it i'll try and post a picture of it for you.
I did have a odd look from a policeman but have never been stopped(so far)
The other option i thought of was a small trailer to bolt on the rear axle which is legal as long as its less than 2m i think.
