if a user asks 'which 12m kite should i buy'
and the naishguy says buy naish, it's great
and the bestguy says: no, go for best its better

...that would be a case i wouldn't call pimping.

if brand-x guy makes himself three accounts and
starts a dialogue all by himself where he bashes other brands and/or hypes his own ... now that's pimping.
that's correct!

Well rocky,

No doubt you are feaking out, Both Toby and Murdoc have watched this site go from helpful and informative to agenda'd and mean spirited.

It's the posters with personal agenda's that threaten to drag this site into the gutter, and then down the drain.

The recent collusion between a retail kite shop owner and a poster with multipule usernames has brought a harsh reality to the forefront:

Toby and Murdoc can be viewed as providing a venue for fraud.

I think they feel they must do everything in their power to stop the abuse.

You could give them a helping hand, or you could just freak-out.

It's up to you, all they can do is ask...

fokiten

I could quote a few mean spirited (intent on doing damage to a brand) r/s posts for you, but that's not really necessary,,,

Seems your getting the message.

It's the gang posters who pimp each other up to the point they feel empowered, and that to them is like...? what's it like?

Mr. OT and who else may be interested (I would hope no one else). Just for the record:

1. I have no affiliation with any brand, shop or manufacturer of kite products

2. I pay full price for all my kites, boards and other kiting peripherals. I have never received a meaningful discount nor am I seeking for one. My job provides me with sufficient income to pay for my kiting equipment. Mr. OT, in case you need proof to believe it I'm happy to provide you statements for the payment of my 4 kites and 4 boards I bought in 05/06.

3. I know Steve and have respect for the great service he offers in his shop. Based on that I have no problem recommending other kiters to buy in his shop at their own discretion.

Now to have it in writing/on the record it is necessary to show your flawed logic:

1. If Steve wanted to generate a lot of sales through Kiteforum.com or get a major benefit from online posts he would spend significantly more time on the local site (http://www.seabreeze.com.au - I know you're very familiar with this site as your obsession with Steve goes that far)

2. I pay full for my equipment. Am happy to follow the 'new new' and don't expect anyone to pay for my quiver. This allows me to change brands every time I like and doesn't force me to defent or bash products as a 'payment' for free kit (does that sound familiar with you????)

I'm done here.

Nice,,

Don't really know where, but I've some Palap Blessings I could swing you a deal on...

then you'd need not worry yourself with such trifles.

There's only a few left, don't be caught dead without one.

Know one expects The Spanish Inquisition, best be prepared...

Instead of wasting your and our time posting absolutely nothing that is useful why don't you at least respect Toby's request to disclose your affiliation???

As far as I recall you got your favourite kite (Best Hellfish) for free and I'm not quite sure if the same applies for your 9m Waroo???

If you then desire to continue to be the biggest annoyance here on this forum it's up to you. But giving a little respect to Toby and complying with his friendly request would be the least you could do given you do take a strong position with regards to Best and may influence others unaware of your underlying interests...

Be a good user not just an abuser. Be a man for a change.

Hey guys. Forget the kiting. I'm really interested in the 'multiple' posting as different user names thanks. Please fill us in so we can get a better picture on 'who's who', and maybe an insight as to why they did/do it so then I can completely skip any contribution they make here on the forum in the future.
