expect around 20 knots. There can also be days without wind, happened last year. 2 weeks around new year with lighter winds, but with a bigger kite you still could ride. But after Jan. 5th 3 weeks of excellent 20 knots! So you can be lucky or have bad luck. But for sure you will be on the water a lot!

I've been there in the same period in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.
In 2005-2006 : I had 3 weeks every day +20kn
In 2006-2007 : Wind was lighter with average of 16kn and a full week under 10kn.
So take a bigger kite with you or a skimm 8)
This year I'm going to Prea at the end of the year :D

if the wind is lighter in Cumbuco, travel up the coast. About from Taiba on you will find 3-5 knots more. Max 1 hour drive away, so no problem with day trips!
Or stay for some days if the forecast is lighter.
Prea and Jeri is further up the coast, so you need to stay over night there for sure, which shouldn't be too bad ;-)

After 18 years living here at Fortaleza/Cumbuco and just good Brazil expiries, I can say, we will have till end off Februare wind over 20 knots, because we dit not have many rain this year in Brazil, less in Ceara, the state of Fortaleza, it is everything dray in the inside off the country, so we have better thermal wind this year.

Last year we gave in April, and March, kite school we hat more than 15 knots, perfekt to give class

I wich you all, how will visit Cumbuco and the coastline north from Cumbuco, good wind.

Greeds Manni

march was up and down 9 13 15 the rainseason but stil average 4 days kiting in a week and thats good
