Can I ask why you would want to do that? I for one would only be interested in doing the exact opposite. I can see many advantages of the Naish system but none for the Slingshot system or the LF system. What is it that you like better about those? The main advantage of the Naish is that it is a quick release that you can actually find and use with either hand in an emergency. Not so with the other two. It also appears to be much smaller and simpler.

No doubt I want the smartloop upgrade and have orders in. It is just that the upgrades aren't available yet and I have worn out my chickenloop line.
I made the misstake of attaching my leash suicide style to the spot above the platic self adjusting chickloop piece causing the metal clip on end of leash to rub against the metal through hole on bar. Inturn the edges of the throughhole we ruffed up (metal on metal over many sessions) which in turn has shredded my chicken loop line to a point where I am close to breaking it.
Since I need a new chickenloop line and with Naish pre-smartloop you can't just replace line I though I might as well get another brands similair design until I can get my hands on a smartloop.

BTW: I should have attached the freestyle (mini 5th line) leash attachment system as I would have avoided this wear and tear on my gear.

Smart loop is so clean and simple to fit.I was a bit dissapointed the small u clip was not part of the chicken loop to attach the mini 5th but I found some spare parts and its a good as gold.I also found a swivel from my old uds bar and fitted that on top of the pulley.
Now I can finally reach the depower strap.

I hope smartloops are available soon as spareparts.
I have snapped the rope of my "standard" 2008 loop after just 3 weeks on the Helix.
Not fun.

A few weeks ago, Sweden got both the retro-fit kit to upgrade the 2008 SLE bar to 2008 smart bar and complete Smart bars. Talk to your dealer and ask him/her to place an order.

I understand that the North American distributor does not have them yet
.
I have probably 30 days kiting on my standard Helix bar and no sign of wear on my chicken loop.

We got the retro-fit kits for free from our dealer. I hope you will get a similar deal, the Smartloop is awesome!

The Naish one looks nice. However, what happens when the line
wears out? Spend another $75?? If it was easy to just buy another
piece of Dynema rope and replace it, I think it would be worth the $75.
