Tulum Kiteboarding

Postby Crispy » Tue Feb 12, 2008 2:30 am

I'm going to Tulum in a few days and am a little unsure of what sort of winds to expect. I've been checking the forcasts on Wind Guru and the winds look light. I was planning on taking my 12M and 17M C's. Can anyone who has been there recently or is there now tell my if these kites should be enough to go with or if I should be packing my 9M as well. I'm only asking because I'm a little tight on space.

Chris,

I will be in Cancun on Sunday, and will be kiting on Wed thru Sat. I've too been watching the forecasts and they seem to be on the lighter side of the scale. I plan on bringing my 13 Waroo and my 20 Waroo. I know space can be a bear, but it is better than sitting on the beach.

hey chris,

I´m a local rider of the area,
the best advice that I can tell you, is brind 12 and 17,
we were supossed to have stronger winds this time of the year, but i´ts been weird,....
the 9, sometimes, if, we have a north front, but is more unlikely....

however...

Cool thanks for the advice guys.

I probably won't worry about the 9M then if I'm too tight on space.

Happy Kiting!

Chris

I was going to stop by to see Marco and see about the downwinder tour they offer at the shop.

Hope to see you both there!

Tempting, yet too expensive for me.
