I believe there is a cultural difference between the USA and the rest of the world regarding cars and their use, and in general resources and their use. No worries mate, you'll learn a lot about this very soon. You may not like the lesson though. Did you know you're entering into a recession already? Listen to Mr. Bernake if that's news for you (he's no socialist tree hugger btw.). Good winds.
jkrug wrote:again, you're missing the point. you don't have to live on the OBX to understand the problem they are currently experiencing is spreading everywhere. today the enviro-freaks want to prohibit driving on those beaches, tomorrow they will want to prohibit kiting on those beaches, and the next day it may be they target your beach. banning driving on OBX beaches may not seem like the end of world to you, but its impact on OBXers is major, so maybe ...bud out? I don't think the folks in OBX are looking for help from our socialist friends across the pond anyway.
and what an embarasssing schmuck you are, too. Mr Euro-trash, please tell me all you know about the USA, the only country on this planet worth immigrating to. ok, bye now.

Tung,
Are you saying that there is absolutely no place to drive a car on the beach in all of europe?
Looking at another country and your reasoning, maybe they should ban cars and buggies in Brazil. We can all man up and walk to the ocean and ponds. Good luck with the down-winders too.

If "the folks in OBX" are not looking for help why the fook do they post their pathetic request do drive on the beach in an international kite forum?[/quote]
In response to the message above
We are not looking for your help I was simply letting the kite community know the situation that is going on in arguably the best place in the world to kite. The reason I titled this Help is because it gets "pathetic" people like yourself to look at it.
I never understood why people can be so negative and mean on these internet sites I guess you are just angry because all you do is type about kiting and you probably cant even stay up wind.

FYI, you lose any credibility you my have had and reveal your complete ignorance and arrogance with this statement. One can only conclude that you have actually not really been anywhere else......and are likely one of the millions contributing to the rapid downfall of your country.
As a resident of the USA, I can only hope that people like you smarten up......but it's great to have the option to go elsewhere though.

Did you know American media lies and pumps lies into the world? Did you know the American media has been attempting to create market and environmental panic (eg. Al Gore)?...The reality is the American market is correcting, which is normal. Our unemployment is still below 5%, less than 5% foreclosures, and the "global warming" myth is a big-fat lie perpetuated by the media leftists...The "green" capitalists are mounting a huge propaganda campaign to extract monies from stupid people, and they are getting rich with lies.
Perception is simply a concoction of whoever is best at propaganda. The ideology with the most effective and wide-reaching media is generally most successful at manipulating nations and world politics...This is true of the economy, this is true of environmentalism...Perception and truth are not necessarily equal.

I think you meant to say "the media", not "the American media".

Rapid downfall? You must be kidding me?...Do yourself a favor, don't trust American media or foreign media for a true picture of what is going on here...Our American media has a socialist agenda (except Fox News), and so they paint a false picture of us, and then pump that false picture to the world...Unfortunately the world is so duped and easily influenced that they turn on their biased news sources and actually believe the propaganda...The most socialist and agenda driven American media is the most widely read and disseminated propaganda in the world (AP, New York Times, CNN, etc).

True and false. I meant the American media because we have the greatest world effect. Foreign media gets their opinion and reporting from the furthest left American media, sources like CNN, AP and New York Times...I could easily make the case that foreign media is much more biased and agenda driven, as most foreign media is controlled by the nation states that they report from, or they simply pick and choose what American media lies they want their respective publics to believe about the United States and the world.
Global warming and environmentalism is a perfect case for my original statement...We pump out total works of fiction, like "An Inconvenient Truth", and then Europe celebrates Al Gore as a hero...What people don't know about Al Gore is he is anything but a scientist, and his movie is anything but factual, and that he was a henchman for a very corrupt political machine.
