Real estate developers and attorneys, two critters I wish were on the endangered species list...

well, as Dana Miller once said to me as he was carrying his gear,.. his windsurfing gear, to the Cove for a session, "youd be suprised at what you can do.."
it's true.

You should see what people do in California to get into the ranch. Super hairy boat launches in 8 foot shore pound. Sneaking in along the train tracks avoiding the guards. A two mile hike on the beach doesn't sound all that bad. The silver lining of all this is that it will keep the crowds down to those who really make the effort.

Sounds great to me. Hopefully Pismo Beach will be next. In Pismo the beach is considered a public road thus requiring a brake if you are landboarding. WTF.

Where can we show support for the ban?
I've yet to see a beach ecosystem improved by allowing people to drive all over them.

95% of the people who drive on the beach are fisherman and some areas are off limit to ORV, I don't think that kiting would be affected very much since 95% of the kiting is done in the sound. You can kite on the ocean almost anywere without the need of driving on the beach.( Except for the Cove)

Disgusting.
Keep all cars that emit fumes off the beach.
Allow anyone powered by wind, batteries or hydrogen on it.
Start saving the planet, Hatteras... show us how to do it
