use http://www.ikitesurf.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I sold several kites with a week or two of listing them.

Good luck! Remember if they pay with a cashiers check have the bank hold it for 10 days to verify

i am using it on ikitesurf so i should tell the bank to hold it because i read somewhere that they can give a certified check and then somehow take it back

hey man
this was happening to me too

like the guy says above its a 419 scam

they dont want your kite. they send you extra money you deposit it. You subtract your cost and forward the rest to a thrid party. The bank informs you a couple weeks later the money is worthless. you are now stuck with paying the difference between what you subtracted and the initial check.

stay away

a real offer will come

Where are you advertizing it?

E-bay is a very good way to go, I've had better luck
buying there than at certain apparently
legitamate E-stores ( Bestkites.com will rob you)

It's fairly easy to see who is full of shit and who isn't. Lots of locals over at nwkite.com like to actually collect all the bogus money orders and string people along. It's pretty damn funny really.

Came across lots of these types of scams when attempting to sell a vehicle online –usually easy to detect –the whole too good to be true thing is usually the first flag ..offering extra money, paying too much, asking for refund of difference, lack of specific detail in email (mainly generic questions/statements) ..are all common scam flags to avoid..

I’ve had good results with Ebay in the past.. and PayPal offers additional protection, etc.. against scammers and the like.. especially when selling outside of Ebay..

it’s also easy enough to set up a PayPal account if not a member, so if/when someone is serious about honestly purchasing they’ll usually take the step..

Also can get a vibe from the individual as far as having any knowledge of the item/sport –scammers usually have no clue and will simply cut and paste your item title into their scam template email..
