I think Fred is trying to help. If he'd post about the board in threads where they where asking for completely different things. For instance someone asking for advice on a TT, or named surfboards and the poster then gives unsolicited advice, then maybe.
To me it seems like he is stoked about his board.

Good one Tungs. I am with you. I think Fred needs to create an I like my Aviso forum of his own. Any post from Fred has to include a reference to his Aviso boards. It frankly gets annoying after a while. Now let's wait for the endless talk about the RFC wing fins. It's starting already. BTW, nothing against Fred. He sounds like a good guy.

not sure what the big fuss is - but it sure pushed your buttons ? If you don't want to read about something just skip over it. Also, most threads wander in discussion, many much more incoherently. I'm sure that Fred has no commercial interest in Aviso, so "pimping" is not really applicable. He has a really cool job in a completely kiteboard unrelated field. I think he is just super stoked about kiitng and his surfboards and has done a lot of searching for a product that works well for him, testing and reporting - and sharing the stoke. It is a fairly unique product with unique characteristics and probably not too many people are aware of it. Of course it might not be the right thing for some people but it's good to know about different things, new things, especially from the riders and not just the manufacturers/magazine/internet promotion and advertising. not to agitate you further, but it really is a great product...maybe a bit expensive on first appearance, but when you lifecycle the costs it's not...plus there is the ecological factor...less foam produced, less VOC's emitted, less waste in the landfill, etc. (it would be a shame if you hammered one to bits... ) ps...I discovered Aviso strictly as a result of Fred's forum contributions and am really glad that I got one.
