C'mon fellas, spill the beans.

5'th strut is back. 3D computer models look good but still no pictures of the final product.

Cab, North and Naish have released their spill on the new gear. Where is Slingy??? :baby:

I here from a dealer that they released the 4 strut version, and it was a bag of shit, so they had to recall all the ones they gave to the dealers. so have they rushed this a just put a 5th strut back in, quicky so they can get onto the market.
i am sure that it will just be a REV3 now with the 5 strut back in.? surely you cant really improve on the REV2?? as it was good enough.

Errrr NOT QUITE ACCURATE. Prototypes of a 4 and 5 strut version were made and sent out for testing. 5 strut was the clear winner especially in gusty winds. The Octane will almost defineatley have 5 struts and the great new looking bar for 2010. Looking foward to the 9m.

There have been a couple of 'betas' .
Ever since the Link debacle, slingshot tend to send 'beta' test units out to us and other markets around the world for appraisal and in this case there were two versions, with and without a centre strut.

The centre strut version was deemed more marketable.

We've not tried the five strut yet, it only arrived recently coinciding with a sunny wind free period that you'd expect once you have a new toy to play with.

Some pics of our sample kite here
