The interesting bits are they agreed on 'No known issues'
So it does matter if the "problems" actually exist or not.
As a current Lancing Sailing Club member that knows quite a lot about the background at that particular location and has sat through AGM's for the last 5 years listening to Steve being jeered for
1. Being a kite surfer in the 1st place.
2. Suggesting ways the clubs could work better together rather than the current insanely dangerous arrangement where the learner zone is 50 yards upwind of where the kids launch, kids have been cut by kite lines and kite surfers are taught that dinghies have to get out of their way regardless.
I can tell you the general consensus was one of incredulity and that those minutes simply beggar belief given the concern's the committee members themselves have expressed at the last 5 AGM's.
A number of members have produced statements similar to the one shown above setting out their own concern's over the way lifelong bans are issued with apparent impunity by the BKSA with no warning or right of appeal to those that make safety suggestion's at locations such as Lancing where there have been large numbers of fatal/near fatal accidents.
We are also anxiously awaiting the clear rules that it was agreed needed to be put in place to deal with kite/dinghy interaction on the water 2 years ago.
That is why in a report that was prepared by a top expert from the RYA concluded the club is deliberatly ignoring the safety advice issued by the sports governing body and is now considered too dangerous to be used as an RYA youth venue. It probably explains why since Steve and his partner stopped supporting the clubs youth programme arranging travel/boat transport/accommodation/training at huge expenses to themselves with no thanks from the club no youths from that club have attended any RYA zone/regional/national level events.
And at the risk of being censored or having my posts edited so they do not convey my legitimate opinion by the thought police/Mein Furher Toby (or worse given the history of assaults by kite surfers I have witnessed myself at that location!!!!) myself here is the safety assessment that Toby does not want you to see all of which is demonstrably true and can be backed up with facts unlike the wild claims and mindless abuse that has been issued here which has been noted by the authorities at the locations with a low safety score and will only hasten the implementation of the controls that are so obviously needed at those locations.
Please provide the factual evidence of the large number of fatal/near fatal accidents.
