I hear ya, but remember, it's a startup. All hands on deck. Stretch those investment dollars as far as possible. If the camera doesn't work they don't have a product to sell, so that has been the #1 priority.
Actually, you have a point there. Imagine they'd get more crap having a line mount available while still not having image stabilization. They gotta work on that issue. Oh, but the cameras know when you are smiling. Really. WTF. Who cares if the software puts a little emoji in your video automatically when the video is headache inducing giggly gaggle gobblygook. There are some odd features on the camera when there are some glaring misses.
Hey I thought this camera was supposed to do kite data. Has anyone seen that yet?

They (REVL) have pretty much forgotten about the market niche they made this camera for. The horizon levelling is pretty much only useful for kiters as a main feature, for everyone else it's a nice gimmick. but not a necessity. Not finishing the Line mount for the release was a big mistake as it makes the product unattractive to their main market. Add to that that it is too big and heavy, bad quality video, no stabilisation and pretty marginal battery life it is pretty much bound to fail.

Vasco got his:

Looks ok for foiling mounted in the kite and on the lines. Not so great on the wrist strap because of the lack of stabilisation.
Colors and dynamic range as ok, but not good enough for a camera in this price range. If it was about half that price I would maybe consider getting one just for foiling videos.

someone said this is the founder of revl dunno about that but look at the clips in the app screenshot. The horizon is not level is any of the shots. WTF dude? I thought this thing was supposed to auto level or is that done afterwards when the video is made?

Shot some footage with the revl this weekend. Still definitely needs some work on the stabilization and leveling, but fairly watchable and not too complicated.
This is with a bit of post stabilization with mercalli software

Here is a competitor,
https://steadxp.com/ that has an IMU back pack fro a gopro 4.
it is about a as good as revl out of the camera for level, but more stable, but has options to add keyframes to fix the level.
It is a lot of work adding the keyframes. This one took about an hour of editing:

ad this is my own gopro IMU backback from a few years ago wth active horizon tracking in post processing...very complicated and slow to process. not much hand editing though, and I think is better than the commercial offerings

Thanks for sharing that, looks like a fun day!
The image quality is kind of shitty. Is that just the compression from the YouTube upload and such or did it look similar raw out of the camera?
I'd agree that there are some stability issues still, BUT, it's still a lot better than doing it manually with keyframes in post processing. So, to capture a quick sessions, not bad. Easy to edit into a larger flick.
Also, what did you use for a line mount?
