My question was: What would be the better choice between those three kites given my experience level. Yes good deals can be had on Rallys. From what I've seen and experienced the XR5 has a better wind range than the Rally. That's worth something to me.

It depends on the conditions you're kiting in and what you want from the kite. I kite in the open sea and depending on the tide and time of year I have flat or choppy water, small waves (maybe 6'/2m), and in spring and autumn sometimes 30+ knots. I use a twintip and a SB (Mitu 5'8 which I'm learning but still crap on
). I have changed from Rallys to Ozone Enduro V2s because I want more complete depower, less bar pressure, better drift when in waves, and a faster turning more allround lighter kite. The Enduros, like the Rally, do not have pulleys and have the same very nice direct feel to them. I also find that they have a larger wind range than the Rallys but have less low end.
I use my Slingshot bars which work just fine with the Enduros (just had to switch the pigtails around).

So pop quiz... Q..Why do you think there appear to be such good deals on Slinger Rallys?
A.. Nobody wants them.
Q:What was the average waiting time for an XR5 in the UK this summer?
A: Five weeks.
And yes the XR5 has stacks more range.

Many kites have more range than the Rally but then on the plus side the Rally is easy to fly, is very strongly (or even over) built, has huge low end, has no pulleys so direct feel with less to break, has a choice if colour ways for the non-colour blind, and comes with an industry standard push-away QR.
Different horses for different courses Graeme.

And guess who has flown and sold both? They ruined the Rally in 2014, which was why they had to come up with Turbines in smaller sizes, the Rally is a dog these days and everybody knows it hence they can't give them away.

A unique perspective I like to think. Better the genuine article than some wannabe 'tool' I would have thought.

Are the Bridles short enough to prevent wrapping over the wing tips on the XR5?
