Being alone on so many awesome days, definitely the worst
Selflaunching and landing in any wind is easy, but finding others to ride with when conditions are "top", are often the most difficult and I dont like it, eventhough used to it, and of course prefer top conditions alone, over a social session many out, in the crappiest conditions (I dont know why so many seek this...)
But in general when good, the more riders out the more fun no doubt at all for me, it is about sharing the stoke

Chasing your kite up the beach having accidentally completely released it - and it seems to blow up the beach at the exact same speed as you can run flat out, without ever managing to catch it.......

Hahaha, I know the feeling!
Even worse when you arrive at a new spot, people don’t know you and you pump a big Kite in quiet strong winds and then it flies away...and everyone watching thinking the same about you...

Wind is always on Monday. Best day is Wednesday and on Thursday is starts to die, slowly slowly, but it starts to pick up on Sunday late afternoon. Unfortunately you have early shift by Monday.
I know every trick the wind plays. I thought, hey you are not stupid. Get yourself a foil. Now I am facing dead on shore winds. Once in while I hate mother nature big time.
tks
Kosta

Ha haa, I know this is just a thread for fun Kosta - but unless you are learning to foil, dead onshore winds are great, maybe the very best, for both super light winds and for waves, when hydrofoiling
Loads of advantages when onshore, not present with other boards !

Beginners who can't be bothered to walk up or down wind for 5 minutes before launching and instead stand right in the middle of where you're riding with their kite at 12 whilst they mess about with their footstraps for 10 minutes.

Both too many and too few people at the spot. too many? Way too often here in the Netherlands. Too few? Very rare
Offshore wind and others who go out Very annoying, especially in winter & early spring as they don't appreciate how much risk they take
Bad forecasts & getting skunked Awful. Only slightly acceptable after 2-week+ lay-off and still getting 2-3 mows in when the urge is HUGE
