I found my limit today on the 633 Onda foil set.
It hurts me to admit it but I was beaten,
the forecast was wrong,
not 23mph, but 26mph-with gusts up to 30mph, I was expecting waves, but these were mega scary, even getting out took ages as the sets were bashing me back to shore with great force, but after 4 straight days of great conditions and massive self improvement I was determined to get out there to keep up the improvement curve.
6mtr is my smallest kite and It was set on full power to get out through the shore surf to deep water, once there the kite was set to full depower and off I went, the waves made this a roller coaster ride from hell, many waves breaking and impossible to climb over, riding along the line was at full speed and full mast height as the power of the wave was pushing so hard, but the speed had to be held to get to a point where I could ride over the top, no way could I gybe away as the speed gained was (for me)uncontrollable, and it meant I had to drop down the face of the leeward wave which would fire me down a steep wall of disaster, after over an hour I noticed all the windsurfers had left the beach and half of the Twin tips with just me and a lone wave kite boarder out in the outer waves, he was having a better time than me, and I was wishing I had my Ttip with me (that's not happened before) and the lone kite surfing surfboard kept sailing far to close to me, he wanted to see this foil board thing close up not knowing I wanted him to piggin clear off, we had a good laugh about this after we came off, but i was not laughing at the time.
Lesson learned for me, take the Ttip when it might be too extreme, think about buying a smaller kite, watch more "how to" videos, man up! or don't go to the wave beach when its been windy for 4 days straight.
Even my wife Pauline who keeps an eye on me when out on the water, poured me a extra big glass of whisky and handed it to me as I was washing down my gear at home.
beaten, but not defeated.

Do I need a 71 cm mast to go along with Moses Onda? I have Vorace 91 cm now.. What will be the benefit of having additional smaller mast.. (other than say riding in shallower water? )

Agree, no benefit at all, unless you have to START in shallow water (or like if dead onshore 6-8 knots only), as you can ride in shallow water with a normal mast just fine, if you have more depth to start.
