Hi guys, i'm 192cm and 93 kg I want buy the Rhino 2, I had a rhino 16 and it was perfect for me , now I'd like to buy it again plus a Rhino 10 and I'm wondering if also buying a Rhino 20, does anybody know if there is a little or a big difference between Rhino 16 and Rhino 20, which is the minimum wind range for a Rhino 20?
I have the exact same decision to make. I use the 16m Rhino more than any other size. I also have the 22.5 Rhino.
From reading user comments on the 20m and 16m x2 combination, it’s clear that a 20m and 14m are a better spacing. I look at what x2 riders say because I expect the Rhino 2 to be similar, although with more low end power.
I found the gap between my 16m and 22.5 Rhino to be close.
I have decided to build my kite quiver around my most used size, the 16m. I will suffer slightly having the 20m be close in power. I would rather do this, than be slightly under powered riding a 14m in our most common summer wind speed.
Buying the 16m, also leaves me with a perfect gap to the 12m, another kite size that works very well for me in the winter. I hold my 12m in very high winds and prefer not to use smaller sizes than 12. If I bought a 14m, that would make a 10m my smaller kite choice. That’s too small for me.
My wife wants me to buy a 14m for her to ride when I’m on the 20m. I may be forced to buy both.
There are many things to think about when making the decision. Good luck!
If you get your Rhino 2 before me, give us a report.
