what size kite for 20-30kts?

there wouldn't be much of an overlap between a 12m X2 and 6.3 AB, I have used both, and the 6.3 really needs 20 knots before it is useable for me (72kg) . the 6.3 will go to maybe 35 knots! (no depower needed in gusts to 30...)
I can't believe the 10m X2 only works up to 30 knots with a 90kg rider!! I can hold my X2-12 to 25!

The 2001 Airblast 6.3 is a very small kite. I have laid one on my ARX 7.5 and they are about the same. My ARX had more light wind power, but the Airblast could handle higher winds. The 6.3 should be considered smaller than an 8m X2.

I think confusion exists because some people still believe there is a 1.36 ratio between projected and flat area. THIS IS SIMPLY NOT ACCURATE. There is no single ratio value unfortunately. In large kites the ratio is over 1.3 but in smaller kites it is closer to 1.1.
