Don't give up yet...even though the major part of the snow storm fell to the South, the Sand Bar is back in business. 10-15" of ice covered by a inch or so of snow. On skis today, could edge and jump (on 9.5/12m Frenzies). Might be tough on a snowboard but hope to see kites in the air this weekend (forecast looks uncertain on precip but good on breeze).

Did an upwinder yesterday from South HEro to Burlington Harbor. 9 miles straight upwind. What a ride back. Used GPS to aoutomatically track the course and did 52 miles. It is one huge plate. No snow, just ice. Skis work pretty well.

NY still got game too! We got the snow, about 5 inches still left on the lake but with temps hitting the 50's later in the week might be an icy stew then.
